The Big Five (五英傑 Go Eiketsu, lit. "Five Masterminds") is a group of students from Class A who have the highest marks in each of the five core subjects as well as overall. They are prided by Kunugigaoka Junior High School.
Overview[]
The Big Five are made up of students led by Gakushu Asano who score the highest marks in each of the five major subjects and overall. Three of the Big Five are members of the student council and each member is either wealthy or of high status.
Students[]
- Gakushu Asano: Also known as the Genetic General, Ranked 1st in the first semester midterm and the leader of the Big Five. Excels in all subjects and is the student body president.
- Teppei Araki: Ranked 2nd in the first semester midterm. Excels in Social Studies and is the president of the Broadcasting Club.
- Ren Sakakibara: Also known as the Perspicacious Poet, Ranked 3rd in the first semester midterm. Excels in Japanese and is the student council secretary.
- Natsuhiko Koyama: Also known as the Memorization Monster, ranked 5th in the first semester midterm. Excels in science and is the president of the biology club.
- Tomoya Seo: Ranked 6th in the first semester midterm. Excels in English and is the student assembly chairman.

Trivia[]
- Although Karma Akabane ranked 4th in the first semester midterm, his status as a student of Class 3-E makes him ineligible to be a member of the Big Five.
